Brief Description:
A blend of herbs traditionally used for couchs and the symptoms of colds.
Available in 30ml, 100ml coming soon.
Indications: Coughs, Irritable Respiratory Conditions.
Ingredients:
Mullien (Verbascum thrapus): Mullein is a soothing relaxant for irritable respiratory conditions, reducing cough severity, acting as an expectorant. Traditionally used for Asthma, Bronchitis, Deep Hollow Cough, Emphysema.
Coltsfoot (Tussilago farfara): A relaxing expectorant. Traditionally used for dry unproductive coughs.
Wild Thyme (Thymus seroyllum) A well known expectorant with anti-bacterial, anti-viral and antiseptic properties. Traditionally used for all respiratory infections.
Liquorice Root (Glycyrrhiza glabra): Liquorice has a long history of use as an expectortant. Used in traditional Chinese medicine for Tuberculosis. Particularly useful for dry coughs and horseness.
Wild Cherry Bark (Prunus seotina): Traditionally used for Bronchitis, Asthma, Croup and dry hacking coughs.
White Horehound (Marrubium vulgare): Traditional expectortant.
In a syrup base.
Suggested dose:
Large dogs - 10-15 drops
Medium dogs - 7-10 drops
Small dogs and cats - 5-7 drops
2 -3 three times per day, add to a teaspoon of hot water, allow to cool, then add to food or direct into mouth. For acute cases give smaller doses (3-5 drops) every 2-3 hours.
Directions & Dosage:
The suggested dose on the bottle gives a drop amount.
Small dogs and cats should be given a dose around the lower figure, large dogs should be given a dose around the higher figure. Pigeons and aviary birds, use one drop per bird in drinking water.
Because the combinations are in tincture, it is advisable to put drops into a little hot (not boiling) water and allow to cool before administrating. This allows the alcohol to evaporate off.
